আজ মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ঢাকাস্থ দূতাবাসের এডুকেশন ইউএসএ সেন্টার রাজধানীর গুলশানের নতুন ইএমকে সেন্টারে বাংলাদেশ এবং আমেরিকান স্নাতকদের মধ্যে একটি মত বিনিময় বৈঠকের আয়োজন করে।এখানে মার্কিন দূতাবাসের এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়েছে মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের শীর্ষ দশ লিবারেল আর্ট কলেজের মধ্যে একটি (ইউএস নিউজ অ্যান্ড ওয়ার্ল্ড রিপোর্ট অনুসারে), কার্লটন কলেজ থেকে ঢাকায় আগত অর্থনীতির ১৩ জন আমেরিকান ছাত্র এতে যোগ দেন।যুক্তরাষ্ট্র সরকার বাংলাদেশের অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি অর্জনে কীভাবে সমর্থন করে সে বিষয়ে একটি উপস্থাপনাও এতে তুলে ধরা হয়।মার্কিন উচ্চ শিক্ষার সম্পর্কে ধারণা লাভ এবং দু’দেশের শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে ভাবনার আদান-প্রদান ও গভীরতর সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলার লক্ষে কার্লটনের শিক্ষার্থীরা স্কলাস্টিকা, আগা খান একাডেমি, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীসহ স্থানীয় বেশ কয়েকজন বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের সঙ্গে মত বিনিময় করেন।
